Fleming Bay To Millstream Falls

There was a light rain as we started to unload boats but it stopped by the time we launched. Of a bigger concern was ECs forecast of gale force winds later in the afternoon. But other sites predicted lower winds so we decided to go ahead.
From Fleming Bay we noodled along the shoreline towards the entrance to Esquimalt Harbour. With the arrival of HMCS Ottawa along with 2 South Korean naval ships the QHM requested that we paddle along the west shore of the harbour as we made our way towards Millstream Falls.
A few of the paddlers had not be as far as the falls and there was enough water flowing to make the trip worthwhile.
We headed back to our lunch site at Willie's beach following the west shore of the harbour..
The forecasted high winds never appeared and we had very calm seas as we paddled back to Fleming Bay.
