Island View

Arrived at Island View to find that James island as invisible due to a heavy fog.. The fog slowly lifted by our launch so that James was just visible. Fog horns were sounding as we made the crossings to James and then to Sidney Island. Boats could also be heard passing. Lunch was on Sidney Spit.
Sidney Island (originally called Sallas Island) was the home of Sidney Island Brick and Tile Company from 1906 to 1915. Broken bricks can still be found was you walk around the park.
The weather for the trip back to Island View was mixed with fog, then rain, and then sun which came out just as we got back to the launch..
